Structural Inspections
Peninsula Access undertake various inspection in order to produce structural inspection reports to a high and varied specification level catering for a wide range of clients and technical needs. Our professionally qualified engineers always ensure that report content is accurate, concise and in full accordance with client specifications. To date we have been successfully been contracted to inspect a full spectrum of structure and infrastructure types. To name a few would include bridges, viaducts, culverts, tunnels, shafts, harbour and marine facilities, reservoirs and storage tanks, building facades, canal systems etc. Wherever it is hard to get too; we’ve been or are willing to go!

Scour Assessments
In-line with guidance from the ‘Highways Inspection Standards’, our engineers are experienced to carryout underwater inspections and scour assessments works of this type can be carried out as single inspections or in conjunction with our hydrographical survey capabilities.
Testing
Peninsula Access use both conventional and difficult access techniques to successfully recover meaningful samples from a wide range of structures; from high-rise buildings and bridges to culverts, either by "Intrusive" or "Non-Destructive" means.
For concrete structures we can provide Chloride/Carbonation Testing, Coring, Ferro Scanning and cover meter reading Furthermore we can provide deep coring skills to determine foundation levels of bridges.
For Steel Structures we can of ‘NDT’ thickness readings and report on life cycle section loss to steel members.

Contracted Engineer Diver Inspections
Either supported by our colleagues at Dive & Marine Contractors, or as a sub-contractor to other consultancies. Peninsula Access can offer an Experienced Commercial Engineer Diver to assist in, or manage underwater inshore inspections for larger clients. Our engineer diver can also be contracted as a third party inspection diver to assure clients that the work of the principle dive contractor is being undertaken correctly and to the desired level. Typical works we carry out in this field are; Detailed forensic survey, inspection, investigation and assessment, independent inspection, supervision and management of works and specialist Resident Engineer duties
